The Ordo Templariorum Saecularis is an ecumenic brotherhood in the tradition of the Poor Knights to the Salomonic Temple of Jerusalem. With the spirit of the Knights Templar this brotherhood combines the chivalry with Christian spirit. All members live in the real world and have to prove themselves in business life as well as in the family environment. Guideline for these prove of values is to stick on the brotherhoods rules. Our brotherhood calls itself „Chapel in the church“. We are looking for a straightforward relationship with persons, for whom the definition of knighthood still has its glory in the modern world and are willing to stand for the grace of charity and tolerance in the spirit of the old order of knights templar. The empathy for battle belongs to the chivalry. In exchange of sword and lance we use the word for our battle as „milites Christi“. The crusade is not always against human beings, more against human error in society and inconvenience: neediness, illness, peril to life and the inner lead to temptation. The sword used today for example at the investiture is our sign for this battle.
The brotherhood has commanderies in Koblenz, Leonberg, Luebeck, and Mainz (Rhine Hessian, Rheingau, Wiesbaden, Worms). We do appreciate your interest.
